Westridge have evolved from a small skip hire company to a waste management company with a licensed mechanical recycling facility based on an 18 acre site central to the Isle of Wight. Westridge recycle materials and divert thousands of tonnes of what would be waste away from landfill, we were also the first company to introduce euro six vehicles on the Island, these trucks are environmentally friendly and minimise emissions to the atmosphere.
From supplying mini skips for household or garden clearance to large RoRo containers for ongoing commercial contracts, customers can be assured that the services provided will be professional and the waste will be dealt with in a responsible manner. Westridge supply a comprehensive waste management service supplying mini skips, builders skips, commercial ro/ro containers, grab lorry hire, van collections and commercial tipping facilities.

The following is a story board to explain the process of how waste is handled at Westridge.
All waste received at Lynn Pitt Transfer Station is at first taken over the weighbridge and weighed before being tipped in to our general waste reception bay.
Large bulky waste (easy to handle cardboard and wood for example) being extracted.
The remaining mixed general waste is either stored in the pre production area or sized through our industrial shredder.
The hopper feeds a belt below which sends the waste through the 'hedgehog, a large rotating spikey cylinder that evens the flow of the general waste at the start of the segregation process.

The site is logistically well placed centrally on the IOW.
At the site muckaway, dirt, rubble, bricks, blocks, soil, clay and sand are tipped.
These materials are screened, washed, sieved and crushed, thereafter tested so that they can be re-used on construction or road building projects.
Westridge also have an Inert tipping facility based at Lynn Pit, Briddleford Road, Newport, Isle of Wight PO30 2PD.
