A Management Asbestos Survey is a standard survey.
Its purpose is to locate (as far as practical) the presence and the extent of any suspect Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) in the building, which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy, foreseeable maintenance and/or installation.
A Refurb/Demolition Survey is of a destructive/intrusive nature and is used to identify all hidden asbestos within a specific area prior to any building works or demolition works commencing.
The ACM's can then be removed before any other work commences reducing the risk of contactors coming into contact with any ACM.
