Services
Our passion for sustainable waste management, combined with our desire to exceed he expectations of our clients, puts us at the forefront of innovative waste management.
We are an extremely dedicated team with over 50 years of waste management experience and knowledge.
Our aim is simple, that is to set the industry benchmark in terms of environmental compliance.
Our understanding of Environmental legislation ensures that our clients can focus on production in the knowledge that their wastes are being managed responsibly.
Recycling wastes to agricultural land is governed by the Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2010.
Under these regulations Silverwoods Waste Management have obtain a Standard Rules Permit for Land Spreading industrial wastes and follow a relatively simple procedure in order to get beneficial waste streams to applied land.
We are looking to identify an 'Agricultural Benefit' which can take the form of a material containing useful quantities of Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potash, Magnesium, Sulphur or it could be a substitute lime so we also sample for Neutralising value and pH.
We provide skips, trailers, tankers, dolavs, IBC's or whatever means is required to effectively remove wastes off site.
We can deal with wastes of both a hazardous and non-hazardous nature.
We provide full traceability of every movement, with full documentation.
We want the best for our clients, and will always seek to find the most cost effective recycling options.
We apply the Waste Hierarchy (Prevention, Re-use, Recycling, Recovery, Disposal) to all of the wastes we manage.
We guarantee that within 3 months of managing a contract, we will achieve a minimum of 90% recycling rates utilising our Waste Transfer Station, our partner MRF's, AD Plants, and IVC's.
We have installed, in collaboration with Agriorganics, the first In Vessel Food Waste Composting Facility in Cumbria providing a much needed outlet for the composting of food waste.
We also have the capability to compost Organic Fines produced from Mechanical & Biological Treatment plants processing Non Source Segregated material.
The capacity of the facility is 40,000t but we could potentially double this going forward as we have the current infrastructure to do so.
We are actively seeking organic fines from MBT process coded as 19 12 12.
It's a pleasure working with a company that shares our values of honesty, integrity and good common sense!
All the best for the future.
